    Hi Robbie,
A couple of hours on the hang glider (longer if you can catch a thermal and switch the engine off). A similar length of time or maybe longer on a paraglider although a hang glider flies faster but is more difficult to learn… depends on the size of the fuel tank also.

Whats the thing you stick in your bake when your startin the engine up? Ive flown at bishops court a few times my self in a 3 axis thruster microlight.

That is the mouth throttle which basically means you have your hands free to control the glider. When you get airbourne you spit it out and use a throttle lever on the harness!!

    Hi Parrakuda,
I paraglide and hang glide and I think they are both great. I only have an engine for the hang glider which is a lot of fun but paramotoring is probably easier to learn so maybe less expensive. Contact a local club and go out and see what is going on. I am sure you will get a good welcome and lots of advice.

Great style on the take off's and landings. But landing with the engine running is a big NO!

I live a few miles away from Downpatrick and I am really interested in learning to fly with a powered parachute.. I would greatly appreciate more information about your club and any possibilites that are available to come along and see you guys in action!
