It's due to the steel in the concrete creates a magnetic pull, combined with the increased gravitational pull due to the density of the concrete itself, there is a large pull towards the runway. snk, chp, pff, bahhahahaHAHAHAHAHA!!! Sorry, I couldn't hold it in anymore.
actually there are ways to somewhat change your direction, but, I'd be more concerned with fixing the problem to avoid the "splat factor" all together.

That's what we get for playing "Russian Roulette" with our lives all the time. It's a risky activity and when things DO go wrong, there's a fairly good chance you will DIE or be MAIMED.

I'll never have a skydiving accident. I'll never skydive.

    LOL. I like camping…..boating……playing hockey….movies……karaoke…….comedy clubs……

Just not stupid activities where if any little thing goes wrong, you will VERY LIKELY DIE.

  19. MrVader153

    August 13, 2013 at 4:31 am

You're just proving my point. Skydiving is quite safe.

  20. Holymakinaw

    August 13, 2013 at 2:51 pm

If you have an accident in hockey, you might get a cut or lose a tooth or at worst…break a bone. If you have an accident in skydiving, you will VERY likely die.

What a stupid frigging "hobby" that makes it.

In the future skydiving will be much safer than it is now. I find the technology shamefully inadequate.

  24. DM

    September 9, 2013 at 1:40 pm

In my country there hasn't been a single skydiving fatality in the past 10 years. Accident are really rare and usually happen when landing (you might twist your ankle, ouch).

I know skydiving isn't for retarded fucks like you who actually might fuck it up so badly that it would cause your death.

  25. Holymakinaw

    September 9, 2013 at 6:08 pm

In the last 9 years, there have been approximately 560 skydiving fatalities worldwide.

Guess how many of those were the result of diving out of a plane, to fall through the sky, all in the name of "fun"? ONE HUNDRED PERCENT OF THEM, FUCKNUTS.

  26. TheBeardedOrca

    September 11, 2013 at 5:58 am

In the last 9 years 18,000,000 skydives have been completed. (2 million per year) 560 deaths is simply an anomaly statistically speaking. Skydiving is perfectly safe unless you are a cocky moron trying to show of (which accounts for most of those 560 deaths most likely.)

  29. Neo Payne

What about the packer? What about the rigger? What about the skydiver?

  30. Neo Payne

    October 3, 2013 at 8:26 am

No, the brake toggle released by itself rather than waiting patiently for the skydiver to release it manually. They're held it with a pin as well as velcro, so the brakes were probably not set properly after the previous jump. And it's usually the previous jumper that sets them – probably the girl in the video. She probably didn't put the pin in. So, it's all probably her fault.

  34. Faylina Meir

what you don't see is the fact she not only survived but made a full recovery, found out she was pregnant and gave birth to a healthy child LOL if that isn't the luckiest thing ever I dunno what is. That's probably more lucky than winning the lottery.

    ?????
Was this (ie, her main chute & reserve spinning like a corkscrew in one direction) simply a case of one toggle being released from the velcrow and the other still stowed??

Pull both both toggles next time, genius.

Блин, пока смотрел руки вспотели от волнения. Тут самое удивительное даже не то, что Шейна осталась жива, а то, что она после таких травм сумела сохранить и родить здорового ребёнка.

I once saw a funny version of this video where someone posted funny subtitles of what it sounded like the instructor was yelling.  If anyone can find it, I'd appreciate it.  Thanks!
