Cirrus SR22 – Super Cross Country – 3000 Miles 20 hours – Day 2 Chicago To Des Moines – Cockpit Tour

The second day of a very long cross country trip. Great evening flight from Chicago Executive to Des Moines International Airport.

See how I organize the cockpit and avionics to achieve maximum situational awareness

Communicator, Fan, Golf Junky, Chihuahua Lover, Dishwater . I want to see your peacock.

Great video. Love that you don't edit out the radio work. Great tour of the equipment, you should do that every video.

Hey, Niko!  Great flight and discussion.  Are you ADS-B compliant yet?  You only have two years to go!  I hear from other pilots that if you wait too long the avionics guys will be slammed and may not be able to get your aircraft in compliance by January 1, 2020 thus you will be grounded until in compliance.  Thanks for the video.  It was fun!

Great video. I set up the panels the same way, I find it easier and it helps keep a good flow. Looking forward to the next flight. I noticed you don't put in your lean assist. Where do you run it? I like to lean for best power. I think I see a lean for power in there..

You make it look too easy. I was going to ask if you had to pay for the Nav info ? I believe you answered that with an affirmative, do you have to pay for updates too ?

I am just so thrilled to have someone like Niko taking us along on a journey and making it educational along the way. Such a unique channel, and I hope the quality videos continue! I fly as well (not as often and not so luxuriously), but I so very much appreciate what I receive from viewing these videos. Thank you, Niko!
