Body Health and Athleticism – 5’10” #336 Dunk Journey 2.0

rim is 9’9″
Lower back has been in pain for a couple weeks now. warming up was really tough but after i get going it loosens up.
I want to be as healthy as possible for dunk camp so really focusing on that. day 1 of camp is in 6 days (Monday the 18th)

I was light lifting and doing plyos but skipped it today to let my body rest and dunked as my plyos. Did some back and abs just because those muscles are easier to train and not as taxing on my body

    Steeeeeeeeeve hows it going my dude!! I dont knoe if you remember me but I watch and stuff a lot. You said you were feeling bad and in your other video you talked about how you were low. I just wanna second what isaiah said "about himself" and say that i think the strength phase payed off, you look so much more powerful and explosive. Btw what is C.J' s standing and running vert? What was the height of this rim, 9'9? Cause you said you weren't getting high but in my opinion you looked do high and stuff.

    Watch how you land vs how isiah lands. There are some good examples around 2:50

    Your knees track way out over your toes on impact. Isiah's body breaks at the hip, he's a glute powered jumper with excellent body mechanics.

    Landing like you do puts a ridiculous amount of stress on your knees and lower back. Multiply that by how high you jump and how often you jump and it's no wonder you're hurting. It will keep getting worse if you do not correct how you move. My dad ruptured a disk working out with similar issues. I don't want to scare you. But take it seriously.

    There were moments in this video where I got goosebumps! Like your dunks are just top notch quality amazingness. I can’t even describe it. I went to my gym today and saw a guy dunking and he sucked compared to you (obviously because you are the greatest) but I was reminded of you.

    steve what would you say the best way to warm up is. I'm asking because it's winter here in Australia and I have never been through a dunk journey in winter and it is really a struggle
