In the NBA today, championship contention is impossible without the multiple superstars necessary to be dubbed a “superteam”. While this creates really exciting matchups when two of the best teams in the league go head to head, it creates a strange power dynamic as well. All-Star caliber players that are good enough to be the best player on an NBA team end up becoming second or even third options in the team hierarchy, leaving many like myself wondering how they would play and how differently they would be looked at around the league if they had their own team in which they were the primary option. Whether it be as a result of a trade or the circumstances they were drafted into or both, each of the guys on this list aren’t or haven’t been considered the alpha dog on their teams, but their skillset leaves me wondering what it would be like if they were. My name is Tucker this is Sporting Logically and here are 3 NBA Stars That I Would Love To See Have Their Own Team.

1 – Kevin Love
2 – Klay Thompson
3 – Blake Griffin

  5. Jayce Sims

Klay Thompson is Reggie Miller with defense. Even as a Warriors fan, I wonder how he would look on a team as the number one option.

I wanna see the proper Kris Middleton team, actually pair him with klay, then I also wanna see the Dion waiters/jr smith super duo

Bruh KLove was literally the centerpiece in Minnesota for multiple seasons.. is that not him having his own team?

Kevin love shouldn't be on this list. He had his old team when he played with the timberwolves

Had the warriors traded for Love back in 2014 Klay was going to be traded to the lakers and the lakers would have sent the 7th pick to Minnesota. Lakers and warriors were both uneasy with the scenario because the lakers really thought they had a chance at Embiid while the warriors saw Klay’s potential.

Ohhh shit, that's so crazy that you said Klay and Rubio together because while I was watching this that's the point guard I was thinking he should be paired with too.

Love is not as good as he was in Minnesota cause he lost a ton of weight and it’s obvious. But hey now he looks like a model, so can we really say he’s losing?

CJ Mccollum. Bradley Beal. Jabari Parker. Clint Capella. Draymond. Steven Adams. Isiah Thomas.

K Love was the primary option in Minnesota. Blake was the primary option in LA and Detroit, Klay is actually a good pick though. Seems like he is just a more accurate, way better defensively Rip Hamilton.

I'm disappointed to not see Bradley Beal here and i also want to see eric gordon to atleast give him some play that will allow him to create his own shot more off the often other than catch and shoot but nonetheless it is a good list.

How did I know klay would be on here

Klay Thompson is an amazing shooter but I can't really think him as the leader of a championship contender team. He needs a good point guard that passes balls to him. I don't think he'd score that much without a another star.

simply thats what i want to see , after lebron gone cavs only need a playmaking guard and one or two bigman off the bench thats all , they have clarkson , j.r , hood and also they have love to add fire power also spacing the floor and maybe nance , simply that is kevin love team in cavs and as a whole team? maybe sign a bench at free agent and sign some new coach might solve some problems , and trade some old player like hill and jr or maybe keep em , for klay? it was shame to see after durant came in, curry and draymond still at their prime but klay kinda outshine , i hope that he gone to the raptors cuz after derozan being trade they need a fire power and also an "all star caliber player" , who they had? ibaka? roleplayer , jv? roleplayer , lowry? he is good to be an all star but he kinda old so to me he wasnt an allstar just kinda lucky , and why east? cuz east simply easy to compete also lebron made the case closed , for blake? i think they only had one in detroit , i know how bad detroit is but i think depth their bench and out of injury also if they get a better point guard than reggie? that could be good and strength their line up i guess they might compete in the east , maybe you might disagree cuz there is drummond but he wasnt a score like an allstar player , he had to cuz there is no other fire power , to me he is just a star player. why east btw? look kyrie , oladipo , kemba they had their own team so thats why gone to east for creating their club? easy save to say right now east build a team for around one allstar player , like celtics , pacers , hornets , knicks , heat ext so that might open a new chapter for western player to wake up and being reconize
